John Christopher Moore, DPM, FACFAS, FACPM, FAPWCA

Dr. John Christopher Moore is a board-certified podiatric surgeon and the cofounding physician of Moore Foot & Ankle Specialists in Asheville, North Carolina. With over 25 years of experience in foot and ankle care, Dr. Moore has established himself as a leading specialist in complex reconstructive surgery, diabetic limb salvage, and advanced wound care.

Education & Training

Dr. Moore earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in 1998.

He then completed a Hospital Internship in Primary Podiatry Medicine Residency (PPMR) at the Yale-VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven, Connecticut (1998–1999), followed by a comprehensive surgical residency in Foot and Ankle Surgery (PSR-24) at the same institution (1999–2001). Dr. Moore advanced his training with a PGY-4 fellowship in Revisional and Reconstructive Surgery of the Foot and Ankle at Yale-VA Connecticut Healthcare System New Britain General Hospital in New Britain, Connecticut (2001–2002).

During his fellowship training, Dr. Moore received specialized instruction in diabetic wound closure techniques, including rotational, transpositional, pedicled, and muscle flaps, as well as split-thickness skin graft harvesting and placement. He also gained extensive experience with complex external fixation devices for major lower extremity reconstructive surgeries.

Professional Affiliations & Credentials

Dr. Moore holds the prestigious distinction of being a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS), a Fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine (FACPM), and a Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association (FAPWCA). From 2019 to 2025, he served as Chief of the Podiatry Service Line in the Surgery Department at Mission Hospital in Asheville.

Dr. Moore maintained active privileges at Mission Hospital from 2005 to 2025. He currently maintains active privileges at AdventHealth Hendersonville and the Outpatient Surgery Center of Asheville, ensuring his patients have access to comprehensive surgical care when needed.

Lily L. Moore, DPM, FACFAS, CWSP

Dr. Lily L. Moore is a board-certified podiatric surgeon and certified wound care specialist physician with over two decades of clinical experience. As one of the lead practitioners at Moore Foot & Ankle Specialists, P.A., Dr. Moore delivers comprehensive foot and ankle care designed to help patients recover safely and maintain active, pain-free lives. She seamlessly blends advanced surgical expertise, non-surgical techniques, and cutting-edge regenerative medicine options—utilizing biological therapies that support the body's natural tissue repair processes.

A core component of her practice is her expertise in custom orthotics. Dr. Moore designs personalized, high-precision orthotic devices tailored to each patient’s unique biomechanics to optimize gait, relieve chronic pain, correct structural deformities, and support long-term mobility.

Personal Life: Outside her medical practice, Dr. Moore is an active outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys outdoor wildlife, Van Life, camping, fishing, and hiking, and often exploring trails alongside her husband and two dogs. She also enjoys organizing and living a simple life both in the office and at home.

Trusha Jariwala, DPM, FACFAS, FACPM, CWSP

Dr. Trusha Jariwala is a board-certified podiatrist and foot and ankle specialist at Moore Foot and Ankle Specialists in Asheville, NC, dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care for patients of all ages. With advanced training in foot and ankle surgery, reconstruction, trauma, wound care, and regenerative conservative treatment, Dr. Jariwala combines clinical expertise with a patient-first approach to help patients move comfortably and confidently.

Born in India and raised in Gainesville, Florida, Dr. Jariwala is proud to serve the Asheville community. She provides care in English, Gujarati, and Hindi, helping patients feel comfortable, understood, and welcomed throughout their care experience.

Dr. Jariwala earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with Honors from the University of Florida—Go Gators! She went on to graduate as Class Valedictorian from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida, earning her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree.

She then completed a rigorous three-year surgical residency at Yale New Haven Health in Connecticut, where she received extensive training in both inpatient and outpatient care, advanced foot and ankle surgery, reconstruction, and trauma.

During her training, Dr. Jariwala had the opportunity to learn from leading physicians in foot surgery and plastic surgery, further developing her expertise in complex conditions and advanced surgical techniques.
